FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man was arrested for DUI after driving recklessly from Fresno to Selma, police say.

A Fresno Police officer was attempting to catch up to a white truck traveling southbound on Temperance Avenue at Olive Avenue after noticing it had run a stop sign and was speeding.

Police said the truck continued driving recklessly, running additional stop signs and red lights, and was swerving, leading the officer to believe the driver was under the influence.

The officer requested air support and allied agencies to assist while trying to keep sight of the truck’s taillights until the officer lost sight of the vehicle.

Fresno police’s Air Support Unit, Air 1, responded and quickly located the truck as it arrived in the city of Selma.

The truck continued to drive recklessly before parking at a home in Selma.

The driver, identified as a 30-year-old Roger Hernandez, was unsteady on his feet and unable to follow commands.
