FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Fresno Chaffee Zoo’s two African lion cubs now have official names, chosen to mark their July 4 birthday.
The female cub has been named Jubilee, meaning a special celebration or anniversary.
The male cub has been named Indy, short for independence.
The seven-week-old cubs have been resting and bonding with their mother, Zamaya, behind the scenes.
This was Zamaya’s second litter.
Zoo guests can see the cubs’ siblings, Asali and Taraj, in their habitat in African Adventure.
