Trump administration officials are reportedly in talks with Nevada-based Kingsbarn Realty Capital to exchange a quarter-mile strip of Yosemite National Park for private California land. Kingsbarn CEO Jeff Pori wants to build a road connecting his 83-acre plot west of the park to a main road within Yosemite, according to reporting by NOTUS. The Department of the Interior denied the claims, saying there has been no political pressure and that any land exchange would be subject to federal laws and environmental review. Sen. Alex Padilla, Rep. Jared Huffman and the Sierra Club vowed to fight the potential deal.
