Hundreds of Silicon Valley Pride Parade participants marched, danced and skated down San Jose’s Market Street from Julian Street on Sunday.

The weekend festivities featured entertainment, vendors, and food at Plaza Park, where a two-day festival was held.

According to their website “This year’s theme, ‘Flourish & Bloom,’ honors the strength, resilience, and vibrant spirit of the LGBTQ+ community as we continue to grow, thrive, and uplift one another.”

The festival and parade started in 1975 as a gay rights rally and evolved into San Jose Pride Festival in 1976. In 2014 the name was changed to Silicon Valley Pride Parade.
