All EB/WB I-696 lanes and ramps to reopen at the end of the year, MDOT says
OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – After about six months, the westbound ramps on I-696 to I-75 are expected to reopen on Monday.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) reported that the ramps on westbound I-696 to northbound and southbound I-75 will open “sometime” on Monday, Aug. 31.

According to MDOT, all eastbound and westbound lanes and ramps of I-696 will reopen by the end of the year. But in 2027, more construction will impact eastbound I-696 between I-75 and Dequindre.
