The San Francisco 49ers had to cut several players over the weekend to get from 91 players down to an initial 53-man roster by the deadline Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. PT.
While there’s still over a week until San Francisco’s season opener against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia, general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan will be in constant communication to make moves to improve their chances of making a run in a tough NFC West.
The focus now will be filling out the practice squad. Niners Wire will track all of the moves for the practice squad here. Check back for all of the updates.
Who is eligible to join the practice squad?
Per the CBA, these are players who could be eligible to join San Francisco’s practice squad:
