The competition presented by El Brewjo Burgers will take place Sept. 12

El Brewjo Burgers, a family-run pop-up business, will present the second annual Old Towne Burger Fest in Orange. A variety of local vendors will participate in the contest and vie for the title of “Best Burger in OC.” The competition will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Chapman Crafted Beer from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Last year’s event gathered more than 1,000 attendees. This year, ticketed guests will receive food from all five participating vendors and can submit one vote for the People’s Choice Award. And a panel of judges will choose the festival’s overall champion.

Cesar Cortez founded El Brewjo Burgers in 2021, specializing in recipes that combine American and Mexican flavors. After participating in Smorgasburg’s Tournament of Cheeseburgers in Los Angeles, Cortez was inspired by the way friendly competition can bring together small business owners, and decided to create Old Towne Burger Fest in order to foster this kind of community in Orange County.
