CHP said the number 3 and 4 lanes are open on southbound I-5 following earlier closures due to the “Rose Fire.”

A brush fire has closed southbound Interstate 5 near Grapevine Road on Monday, at around 5:45 p.m., according to CHP’s website.
The fire started just before 5 p.m. in the Grapevine Road area between the northbound and southbound lanes. Traffic is being diverted to Grapevine Road.
CalFire said the so-called “Rose Fire’ has burned 25 acres. Forward progress was reportedly stopped just before 6:30 p.m.
The area is estimated to be closed for about two more hours, said CHP at 5:47 p.m.
