Carvana is expanding its Rio Linda site to boost vehicle reconditioning and retail options, aiming to create about 100 jobs and improve delivery speed for California
RIO LINDA, Calif. — Carvana plans to expand operations at its existing ADESA Brasher’s wholesale auction site in Rio Linda, adding Inspection and Reconditioning Center capabilities to the facility.
Carvana has already started hiring local employees and expects the expansion to create about 100 new jobs over time in vehicle inspection, reconditioning and fulfillment. The positions include skilled and entry-level roles, do not require a college degree and offer benefits and on-the-job training.

The expansion will increase Carvana’s vehicle reconditioning capacity and create a new pool of retail inventory, helping provide more vehicle choices and faster delivery for California customers. Nearby buyers could have access to some vehicles with delivery as soon as the same day.
The approximately 110-acre ADESA Brasher’s site has more than 7,000 parking spaces and has served Sacramento-area wholesale auto auction customers for nearly 50 years.
The facility will continue its wholesale auction operations while adding teams and equipment for Carvana’s retail vehicle reconditioning and fulfillment. Wholesale customers will also gain access to expanded on-site inspection and reconditioning capabilities, along with ADESA’s in-lane and digital auction services.
Carvana said its proprietary CARLI software platform will support the transition and help maintain consistent operations across its national reconditioning network.
The expansion represents an additional investment in Carvana’s Northern California operations while bringing new employment opportunities to the Sacramento region.
