The Anaheim Ducks are partnering with Prime Video to stream part of their 2026-27 schedule, in a new broadcasting partnership to go along with their existing over-the-air package.
The Ducks will televise 65 of their 84 games for free locally, through the FOX 11 and KCOP-13 channels, a similar number to last season. Prime Video will broadcast those, plus 12 additional games that will require an Amazon Prime membership to be viewed. The seven remaining games will be shown by one of the NHL’s national rights holders.
The NHL announced on Wednesday that the Ducks and five other teams – the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild – will be part of a multiyear agreement that makes Prime Video the exclusive streaming home of their in-market games. For the Ducks, that’s a change following a two-year run with the now-dissolved Victory+ sports streaming service.
“It was critical to provide our fans in our entire television market with a similar model to have Ducks games available via stream or over-the-air television,” Ducks president Aaron Teats said in a statement. “It remains a significant organizational priority for all Ducks fans within our region to have the opportunity to watch Ducks games.”
One key difference between this new venture and the club’s setup with Victory+ is that those who do not already have a Prime Video subscription will need to purchase one in order to watch the Prime-only telecasts. However, there will be no additional fee required to watch the games.
The Ducks will also no longer have rinkside reporter Aly Lozoff as part of their broadcasts. Lozoff, who joined Anaheim for the 2019-20 season, announced on her X and Instagram accounts that the team informed her of its decision to part ways.
Ducks games were available for free to viewers within their market through Victory+, which also showed Stars games and streamed the NWSL, Western Hockey League junior games and Texas high school football games. But the streaming service officially ceased operations on Monday, with its downfall spurred on after missing payments that were due to the Ducks and Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers. According to multiple reports in July, the Ducks decided to leave Victory+ with two years remaining on the contract.
Fans within the Ducks’ regional territory, which includes eight Southern California counties and Hawaii, will be able to stream games at home or on mobile devices. Those who reside outside the market can continue to watch through the NHL Center Ice package or ESPN+.
