(FOX40.COM) — Nearly 1,000 marijuana plants and processed marijuana that weighed in at about 46 pounds were seized in Northern California.

Around 8 a.m. on Oct. 29, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office conducted an operation at an illegal indoor marijuana cultivation site on E. Center Street in Mokelumne Hill.

The investigation began after the sheriff’s office received anonymous tips reporting suspicious activity on the property, according to CCSO. Deputies confirmed the tips to be legitimate after discovering a large, illegal, commercial-style indoor grow operating inside a shop building next to the main house.

During the eradication operation, deputies seized nearly 1,000 mature marijuana plants and about 46 pounds of processed marijuana, according to CCSO. Law enforcement said the site could be linked to a larger illegal cultivation network. No suspects were located at the time of the operation. The case remains under investigation.
