Several food, supplements and pet product recalls have affected consumers across California in recent months.
Another grocery item has been added to the list.
A California company recalled tofu made in the Bay Area and sold at stores across the state.

Which food product was recalled in California? Why?
Oakland-based Hodo, Inc. recalled its Chili Crisp Lightly Fried Tofu on Monday, Aug. 31, because ink from the product’s printed packaging could have migrated into the tofu.
Hodo is a California-based manufacturer of tofu and other plant-based foods. The company, founded in 2004, uses organic, soybeans and supplies grocery stores, restaurants and other food service businesses nationwide.
The company said it is not aware of any illnesses or injuries associated with the recalled product.
“Hodo is continuing to investigate the cause,” the company said in a statement posted to its website Monday. “Based on currently available information, Hodo is evaluating whether chili oil and heat may have contributed to potential migration from the printed film packaging into the product.”
According to the National Capital Poison Center, ingesting small amounts of printing ink generally is not expected to cause serious toxicity, although it can cause an upset stomach.
“This voluntary recall is made with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,” Hodo said.

The recalled tofu was sent to wholesale distributors, retail stores and directly to consumers in 29 states, including California, between Jan. 16 and July 16.
The Hodo Chili Crisp Lightly Fried Tofu was distributed in an 8-ounce bag with a UPC code of 850565007842.
Affected products have best-by or use-by dates ranging from May through November. The recalled lots were manufactured between Jan. 14 and July 16.

“Consumers who have any recalled product should not consume it,” Hodo said.
Customers can return the product to the store where they purchased it for a full refund. Consumers can also contact Hodo to request a product voucher or coupon for a replacement.
