The 49ers signed Hodge to the practice squad Monday, per the NFL’s transaction log.
The 49ers released Hodge during Sunday’s cutdown day after signing the wide receiver in early August. The 31-year-old quickly accepted the team’s practice squad invitation and will continue to provide veteran depth to the organization through the start of the regular season. Hodge participated in all three preseason games, catching seven passes for 71 yards.
