Finally, several college football games are set to take place this weekend, including Fresno State’s matchup against No. 14 USC at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Friday night.
NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah, also now with ESPN, posed a question on X (formerly Twitter), asking, “I’d love to see a fun college upset this weekend. Any idea who that might be?”
Several X users quickly responded, with many picking the Bulldogs.
5550ChargerFan replied, “Fresno State beats USC.”
John Schabram also backed the Bulldogs, writing, “Fresno over USC would be (lit).”
CarlosMagnifico simply said, “Fresno over USC,” while another user responded, “Fresno State over USC.”
Several others continued to pick Fresno State as a potential upset winner.
The Bulldogs are 1-5 all-time against USC, making this a challenging matchup. The Trojans enter the game 1-0 following a 42-26 victory over San Jose State.
Fresno State can certainly pull off the upset, but the Bulldogs will need to limit mistakes and establish a successful running game. Doing so could help them control the clock, stay on the field, and wear down the Trojans’ defense.
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. Friday and will be on Fox.
