BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Shafter police have found no credible threats after being made aware of threats circulating on social media regarding local schools.
The Shafter Police Department said they have been made aware of threats circulating on social media regarding local schools and said they take all threats seriously.
In a social media post, Shafter police said, “At this time, there are no credible threats identified against our local schools.”
The Shafter Police Department said they will continue to closely monitor the situation and assess any information that comes to their attention.
“The safety of our students, staff, and community remains our highest priority,” said in the post.
Police said they encourage the public to avoid sharing or amplifying unverified information and to report any specific or concerning activity directly to law enforcement.
