Sacramento County man takes plea deal over sexually exploiting children across the country, world
A man pleaded guilty to exploiting more than 80 children across the country and world for child sex crimes, the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

Demetrius Davis pleaded guilty on Aug. 28 to 12 counts of lewd acts upon a child, and he admitted to victimizing multiple children under the age of 14, the district attorney’s office said.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office took Davis into custody after a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children prompted a monthslong investigation. Detectives learned that Davis used the online moniker “Lizzy” to lure children through pressure, coaxing and manipulation into performing sexual acts on themselves and others while filming at Davis’ request.
Investigators searched Davis’ home on Dec. 1, 2021, the sheriff’s office previously stated. There, they found screen recordings on Davis’ digital devices showing child sexual abuse material. This included his phones and numerous social media accounts he used to communicate with children.
The sheriff’s office learned that the ages of the abused children ranged from 6 to 13 years old, and after learning of around 15 affected children in other parts of the world, the agency requested the help of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in the investigation.
Under Davis’ plea agreement, he faces a sentence of 300 years to life in prison, the district attorney’s office said. His sentencing is set for 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 16.
