A man’s body was discovered in Long Beach on Thursday morning, Sept. 3, and police say detectives found signs of foul play.
Officers responded around 8:30 a.m. Thursday to the 6500 block of Muriel Avenue, north of the 91 Freeway, regarding reports of a deceased person in the area, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Responding officers located the victim, but police said whoever killed him fled the scene before they arrived.
The deceased was later identified as 33-year-old Kenneth Shannon of Long Beach.
Police said his injuries were suspicious. Further information was not available. Details about what led to the fatal attack remain under investigation.
