A 59-year-old man charged with molesting six girls in south Orange County 19 years ago made his first appearance in court Thursday.
Julian Bonilla was charged May 7, 2007, with 18 felony counts of sexually assaulting six girls, according to court records. He was arrested Tuesday and made his first appearance in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana, but did not enter a plea, and his arraignment was continued until Sept. 24 in the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach.
Bonilla was ordered held without bail.
Further details of the allegations were not immediately available from Orange County sheriff’s investigators. The Orange County District Attorney’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for details.
