Areas of patchy dense fog are developing early Sunday, especially around Sacramento, Modesto, Truckee, and the Bay Area. Fog should dissipate by 10:00 am. Mostly to partly sunny skies are expected through the afternoon with warm temperatures. Afternoon highs in the valley will reach the upper 70s. Above normal temperatures continue through Wednesday. The next storm system arrives Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Current models are forecasting a soggy morning commute on Thursday wit gusty winds. Showers will become more scattered in the afternoon and Friday. Snow levels will fall from 7,500′ to 6,500′ by Friday. Accumulating snow and chain control will be likely through the passes.
