Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting outside a laundromat on the edge of Carmichael that left a man wounded late Wednesday.
Deputies sent to the 10:45 p.m. shooting outside Sac Suds Laundry, in the 5400 block of Madison Avenue, found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies treated the man at the scene, applying a tourniquet to his wound, before he was taken to a hospital where he was said to be in stable condition.
Sheriff’s officials said the gunshot victim did not cooperate with investigators and refused to provide information about the incident.
Detectives on Thursday were trying to locate witnesses and surveillance footage. Their investigation is ongoing.
