One person was killed and two others were seriously injured early Saturday morning in a crash in Barrio Logan, officials said.
San Diego pollice officers responded around 3 a.m. Saturday to East Harbor Drive near Schley Street, where three people were ejected from a speeding, 2018 Dodge Charger driven by a suspected drunk driver, according to Officer David O’Brien.
“The Charger was traveling at a high rate of speed. For an unknown reason the Charger veered to the right and collided with a parked Kia vehicle and multiple fixed objects,” O’Brien said.
The three occupants were ejected, he said. It was not clear where each one was seated in the car.
All three people in the car were taken to a hospital, where one of them died.
One of the three passengers sustanined an amputated right foot, burns and lacerations. The third passenger sustained severe head trauma, according to O’Brien.
DUI is suspected, he added.
