Kevin McCallister himself—that is, Macaulay Culkin—is hosting two special Home Alone screenings in the Bay Area as part of a 35th-anniversary tour for the iconic holiday film.
“A Nostalgic Night With Macaulay Culkin” comes to venues in Oakland and San Jose this November during the week of Thanksgiving.
Here’s everything to know.
A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin
Macaulay Culkin presents this exclusive film tour to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Home Alone, which was released in 1990. It’ll come to two Bay Area locations:
Nov. 23, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. – San Jose Civic Center Nov. 24, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. – Paramount Theater Oakland
Audiences are invited to come enjoy a screening of the film, followed by an exclusive live moderated interview with Culkin, where he’ll share behind-the-scenes stories and memories from filming.
Culkin will bring the tour to 13 performing arts centers and theaters around the United States. Other California shows include Long Beach’s Terrace Theater on Nov. 22nd and the San Diego Civic Theater on Nov. 25th.
From there, Culkin will touch down at more performing arts centers and theaters in Texas, Florida, New Jersey, and New York in the months leading up to Christmas.
Tickets are now available for “A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin.”
Fans can also opt for a VIP ticket, which comes with a commemorative laminate, early access for autographed merch, and an exclusive Q&A with Culkin after the show.
“Come join me as I pull your kids on stage for terrible trivia questions and regale the rest of you with Joe Pesci stories,” wrote Culkin on Instagram.
35 years of Home Alone
Macaulay Culkin was just 9 years old when he starred in the unforgettable 1990 film Home Alone. Produced by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus, Home Alone became a holiday classic that’s played in households all over the world to this day.
Culkin was nominated for a Golden Globe and received worldwide acclaim for his portrayal of Kevin McCallister. Just recently, he was honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his 40 years in the entertainment industry.
