(FOX40.COM) — Police are searching for the suspect in a shooting after four victims were found with gunshot wounds near Sacramento State overnight.
Officers found the victims the same night a shelter-in-place order was issued at Sac State following reports of shots fired.
According to Sacramento PD, it is unknown whether the shooting is related to the reports of shots fired Saturday night at Sacramento State.
The Sacramento Police Department responded to the area of Cucamonga Avenue and Ramona Avenue in Granite Regional Park around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Officers arrived and found three women who had been shot, police said.
Two victims were sent to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and one received treatment for minor injuries on scene.
After finding the victims, officers responded to a car crash connected to the shooting in the area of Folsom Boulevard and State University Drive. Officers found a man with at least one gunshot wound who was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
There is currently no information on a possible suspect.
