BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A judge found there’s enough evidence to proceed in the case against a Bakersfield man accused of monthslong sexual abuse of an 8-year-old girl, according to court records.
Matthew Ramos, 24, was held to answer on multiple charges related to child sex abuse and is due back in court Sept. 14, records show. He remains in custody without bail.
Ramos was arrested in May after the girl’s mother allegedly caught him touching her daughter. Police were called and the girl told officers about multiple acts of sexual abuse, according to a court filing.
Ramos admitted to the abuse, according to the filing, telling officers he committed sex acts against the girl twice a week for four months.
