LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIF. — A 3.2 magnitude quake rattled close to Compton, about 6.1 miles north of Long Beach, at midnight on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A tremor struck the region at 12:13 a.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was about 2 miles south-southeast of Compton and occurred at a depth of 8 miles.

According to the USGS DYFI report, residents in cities including Universal City, La Habra, Fullerton, Whittier and Los Angeles reported feeling the tremor.
