Pre-season Events

The Roadrunners will kickstart the season with a brand-new Select-A-Seat Event at the Icardo Center on Sept. 24. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the community will have an opportunity to experience Cal State Bakersfield’s home arena, view available season ticket options, and meet the 2026-27 men’s and women’s basketball teams and coaches.

The evening will also include a blue-carpet welcome, a free photo opportunity, and access to food, drinks and hospitality in the Icardo Room. Fans who join the Roadrunner Club will gain access to the hospitality experience, which will feature delicious food and a chalk talk with the CSUB coaching staff.

With courtside seats and chairback options among the primary offerings for the event, fans will have the opportunity to see and feel all available premium seating areas before making a purchase. Fans in attendance will also be entered to win free tickets to games.

The `Runner women will play two scrimmages, including a road matchup at Pepperdine on Oct. 24, before beginning the regular season at home against Stanislaus State on Nov. 3.

Regular Season Slate

The `Runners will open the regular season at home against Stanislaus State on Nov. 3 before traveling to Washington and San Francisco later in November. CSUB will then close out the month at Arizona State’s post-Thanksgiving tournament in Tempe, Ariz. Bakersfield is scheduled for an early-December test on the road against UCLA.

The non-conference schedule also includes home matchups against Utah Tech, Omaha, UTEP, and San Jose State, promising high-quality matchups right here in the Icardo Center.

Big West play begins with Bold Week to start December, when CSUB travels to UC Santa Barbara and CSUN. Conference play will resume at home on New Year’s Eve against Utah Valley with a 5 p.m. start time to allow fans to get home before midnight festivities. The Big West schedule continues through Mar. 6, when the `Runners close the regular season on the road at UC Irvine.

Postseason Goals

The 2027 Big West Championship will be held Mar. 10-13 at Lee Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada. The league’s Top 8 teams will battle it out for a trip to March Madness.
