Sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday evening were investigating a shooting that seriously wounded a man after an argument at a nearby Sam’s Club store in south Sacramento.
The shooting was reported shortly before 6 p.m. in the 7900 block of East Stockton Boulevard, east of Highway 99 and south of Mack Road.
Deputies have learned the incident began earlier at the Sam’s Club store at Power Inn and Calvine roads, which is just southeast of the shooting occurred, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
The dispute then went to where the gunshots were fired. Sheriff’s officials said deputies arrived and found the man suffering from gunshot wounds. The deputies provided immediate medical care until medics arrived and took the shooting victim to a hospital.
The wounded man’s condition was listed as critical at the hospital, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies have learned that the shooting was gunfire from one vehicle to another. Investigators did not have any suspect information to release.
