1 dead, 2 injured after driver hits tree in Sacramento
A driver was killed and two passengers were injured after a car hit a tree in Sacramento Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP said the crash happened on the Capital City Freeway near Fulton Avenue. All three occupants were taken to the hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead, after the solo-vehicle crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
