BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Expect delays if planning to travel north on Interstate 5 passing Lebec after the right two lanes of are closed due to a semi-truck catching on fire Wednesday afternoon.
The CHP’s website said on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 2:42 p.m., there was a report of a semi-truck on fire on northbound Interstate 5, near Lebec Road.
The website said the right two lanes were closed for recovery and cleanup.
Expect delays if planning to travel in the area.
