Several cars damaged after tree branches fall in Fairfax – NBC Los Angeles

Several cars were damaged after part of a city tree fell on top of them in a Fairfax neighborhood Thursday, video shows.

The incident was reported in a residential area near Gardner Street and Rosewood Avenue just after 7 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Aerial footage from NewsChopper4 showed branches over at least three cars and blocking a portion of the street.

Police say Public Works Tree Removal crews will clear the tree from the street and that victims will be referred to the city attorney’s office to file claims.

One of the car owners told NBC Los Angeles that a tree has fallen in the area before.

No injuries have been reported, police said.
