A family-run South Bay liquor store has found itself in the spotlight after selling a $14 million lottery ticket.

The SuperLotto ticket, which won in Saturday’s draw, was sold by Maple Leaf Liquors in San Jose, the California Lottery announced.

Bhopinder Sandhu opened the establishment, at 1146 Saratoga Ave., in 1986. His store will now receive a bonus from the lottery for selling a major prize-winning ticket. The winning numbers were: 12, 26, 30, 38, 42 and Mega 4.

“I’m still working every day,” he said, noting that his son Navi is also helping him to run the shop. “It’s good for us. We can pay some taxes.”

The winner’s name wasn’t immediately shared by the California Lottery.

The pot for the next SuperLotto draw Wednesday now sits at roughly $7 million.
