September is Sacramento’s celebration of all things farm-to-fork, with a number of events centered on local food and California’s agricultural heritage.
Visit Sacramento held the Tower Bridge Dinner earlier in the week, the city’s most prominent gala. Friday, Sept. 11, Visit Sacramento hosts the California Grand Tasting, a combination of two of its past farm-to-fork events.
In 2026, Visit Sacramento is folding its Legends of Wine event into the Grand Tasting, meaning this year’s ticketed program will feature local wineries and breweries as well as restaurants.
According to Visit Sacramento’s website, 2026’s Grand Tasting will host 30 restaurants and bakeries, offering unlimited bites and samples from their menus. Participating restaurants include well-known and Michelin-recognized eateries such as Canon, Chu Mai, Localis, and Nixtaco. More than two dozen wineries and breweries, such as Urban Roots, Heringer Estates, Lucid Winery, and New Clairvaux Vineyard, will be pouring their signature drinks.
The California Grand Tasting takes place on Friday, Sept. 11, at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, beginning at 5 p.m. for VIP ticket holders only, and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for general admission ticket holders. Tickets are $175 for general admission, and $250 for VIP passes.
