FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (FOX26) — A man was wanted for two years before being arrested on Monday in connection with a person who was stabbed multiple times during a domestic violence incident in Mendota.

The Mendota Police Department says Jesus Ceja Maravilla was wanted for two years.

Police say during the domestic violence incident, he stabbed his partner multiple times.

The victim was rushed to CRMC with severe injuries and survived.

Maravilla was taken into custody without further incident, police said, crediting the work of investigating officers and law enforcement partners.

He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of attempted homicide and domestic violence.
