Residents who live above a Target were prompted to evacuate after a fire broke out at the store in the Silver Lake area early Monday morning.

Firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the store on the 600 block of Dillon Street near the 101 Freeway at around 1 a.m.

The three story building had the store on the first floor and two floors of residential apartments above.

Video showed smoke coming out from the business as residents stood outside on the street.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
