FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A growing community in Fresno is giving Latina creators a space to connect, collaborate, and support one another; what started as a small meetup is quickly becoming a creative movement.

Para Las Content Creators, a group of Latina women, is building something powerful, a community where social media content creators can thrive together in the heart of Fresno.

“So this is something that I wanted to start because as a creator, you can feel very isolated, very lonely, this journey is very hard, especially with something that you do full time,” said Maria Dominguez, the Founder of Para Las Content Creators.

Dominguez started Para Las Content Creators in February, and only four women came to the first gathering.

Now, more than 20 women attend the monthly meetups.

“They felt like this is very needed here in the Central Valley, especially because a lot of the content creators, they’re not just creators, they’re also business owners, they’re mothers, they go to school, they do so many things and they might feel like they don’t have that community elsewhere,” said Dominguez.

The group aims to inspire Latina creators to believe in their work and in themselves. Each month is different,  from networking, to Pilates and to this month’s facials at Studio 111 in Fresno.

Mia Galvan has been creating beauty content for five years and has over 200 thousand followers across social media platforms.

Galvan says this group brings something she wishes she had when she was just starting out.

“This journey as a content creator can feel really lonely at times,” said Galvan. “We are our own photographer, our own videographer, and we do everything by ourselves, so, to have something to relate to such as our culture, and our background or upbringing  keeps you going.”

For the women of Para Las Content Creators  it’s not just about content it’s about culture and community even more so during Hispanic Heritage Month.

“I think it’s really important, especially for Latinas, because I feel like we’re very underrepresented and I feel like we have so much talent to offer,” said Dominguez. “We are such a huge demographic, right? there’s so many Latinas in the U.S alone. But the fact that we’re so underrepresented speaks volumes. And I think that’s why we have to create the spaces that we want to see ourselves in.”

As the group grows, the focus remains on more than just content. It’s about building a community where every Latina creator feels seen, supported, and celebrated.
