Port Of Long Beach Posts Busiest August On Record

Dockworkers and terminal operators moved 919,992 twenty-foot equivalent units, or TEUs, in August, a 2 percent increase from the same month last year, according to the Port of Long Beach.

The total also made August the fifth-busiest month overall in the port’s history. Imports increased 3.6 percent from August 2025 to 456,100 TEUs, while exports rose 4 percent to 99,754 TEUs.
