Sacramento Kings test two beams at Golden 1 Center on 916 Day
SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
The Sacramento Kings lit up two beams at the Golden 1 Center on 916 Day, a departure from the usual single beam that celebrates the team’s victories.
The Kings always test the beam on September 16, known as 916 Day, referencing Sacramento’s area code. The beam is typically lit whenever the Kings win a game, but it is normally just one beam.
“We’ve reached out to the Kings to find out why two beams were lit up tonight, but so far no response,” the anchor said.
The Kings’ preseason starts on October 5, and the regular season begins on October 21.
