In honor of Veterans Day, the University of the Pacific’s Sacramento campus is offering free health screenings for veterans and active-duty military members on Monday.The event is hosted by the university’s Health Care Collaborative. It will provide a variety of services, including dental exams, cognitive and motor screenings, nutritional support, and diabetes and glucose testing. Blood pressure checks will also be available. Appointments are required. Online registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Veterans can register online here or call 916-672-2774 to reserve an appointment. Participants are encouraged to bring a photo ID and veterans card, if available.The event runs from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 3333 3rd Avenue in Sacramento.
