Proposals on the Ballot Across Oakland County
(Oakland County, Mich.) – In addition to choosing candidates for federal, state, county and local offices, voters across Oakland County have ballot proposals to consider in the Nov.3, 2026 election.
Proposals vary depending on where a voter lives and can include questions involving local government services, police and fire funding, libraries, roads, parks, schools, and other public services. Two authority proposals are countywide, while other questions will appear only on ballots in the communities or districts where they apply. There are also two proposals that will appear statewide.

Michigan Proposal 2026-1: Constitutional Convention Proposal
Michigan Proposal 2026-2: Proposed Initiated Law to Prohibit Campaign Contributions from Certain Regulated Utilities and Government Contractors and Apply Campaign Finance Laws and Regulations to Additional Types of Political Communications
Proposal 1 asks whether a convention of elected delegates should be convened in 2027 to draft a general revision of the Michigan Constitution, which would subsequently be presented to voters for approval or rejection. Proposal 2 concerns campaign contributions by certain regulated utilities and government contractors and expands campaign-finance rules covering certain political communications.
