Q97.1’s ‘Greg & Dre Show’ ending after 25 years on Fresno radio, introducing new lineup

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Q97.1’s “The Greg & Dre Show” is preparing to sign off from mornings after 25 years on the air.

Greg and Dre will host their final morning show Friday, Sept. 18, from 6 to 10 a.m., ending a run that made the duo a familiar part of mornings for generations of Valley listeners.

Greg will remain with Q97.1, moving to middays with a new show called “The Book of Greg,” which will spotlight local artists.

Kimmie Marquez will move to afternoons, while longtime personality Lexi is leaving the station.

Beginning Monday, the nationally syndicated “The Dana Cortez Show” will take over Q97.1 mornings.

Cortez, DJ Automatic and Anthony A. will also be in Fresno for the transition and appear at Party in the Park at Woodward Park on Sunday.

The new lineup officially begins Monday, Sept. 21.
