BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Fire Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man surveillance video allegedly starting a fire.
The fire department said it happened on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in the 100 block of Jones Street.
BFD said at around 3:20 a.m., surveillance video caught an unknown male intentionally igniting an exterior fire that resulted in a structure fire.
The suspect is described as a man, with a lean-to-medium build, and dark hair.
At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a light-colored short-sleeved shirt, with light-colored shorts and dark shoes.
The suspect was last seen on a bicycle.
