BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Fire Department is seeking public help identifying a suspect involved in an arson investigation stemming back to last weekend.
Bakersfield Fire said the arson occurred on Sunday, Sept. 13, in the 100 block of Jones Street.
There, around 3:20 a.m. surveillance video captured video of an unknown male who allegedly ignited an exterior fire that resulted in a structural fire, BFD said.
Officials are describing the suspect as a male with a “lean-to-medium” build with dark hair.

BFD said at the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a light-colored short-sleeve shirt, light colored shorts and dark shoes. The department added that the suspect was last pictured on a bicycle.
The department is asking for anyone with information about the incident or the suspect allegedly involved to contact the Bakersfield Fire Department’s arson investigators at 661-326-3691.
