OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A person was arrested after a shooting on I-75 in Oakland County Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting happened at around 5:40 p.m. on northbound I-75 near Ortonville Road (M-15) on Sept. 16.

Police closed northbound I-75 at Baldwin Road for hours as they investigated the shooting. No injuries were reported, and the freeway has since reopened.
After further investigation, Michigan State Police identified the suspect, found their car and located a gun believed to have been used in the shooting.
The suspect was arrested and was taken to the Oakland County Jail pending arraignment on charges of felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapon.
“The Michigan State Police takes freeway shootings and incidents of road rage involving firearms extremely seriously,” state police said in a statement on X early Thursday morning. “These crimes put everyone traveling on our freeways at risk, and they will be thoroughly investigated. Those responsible will be identified and held accountable through the criminal justice system.”
