San Diego County sheriff’s detectives and school resource officers began investigating Wednesday after a threat was mailed to Valhalla High School in unincorporated El Cajon. Investigators identified 37-year-old Ray Talia as the suspect and linked him to additional threats mailed to a Chase Bank in San Diego and a private residence in El Cajon, according to the sheriff’s Office.
Detectives and deputies with the sheriff’s Bomb/Arson Unit served a search warrant shortly after 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3100 block of Landis Street in San Diego, where Talia was arrested on suspicion of two counts of making criminal threats.
