2026 Candidate Interview: Jessica Newman for Ferndale School Board

Ferndale, MI – In the race for Ferndale School Board there are five candidates running for four seats. Incumbents Paul Mark de la Vergne, Jessica Newman, and Jonathan Turner are on the ballot, as well as Luke Miller, and former School Board Member Amy Ceglarek.

There is also a partial term seat on the ballot, where incumbent Sandra NaTashia Dukhie is running unopposed. The full term seats have four-year terms. The partial term seat ends Dec. 31, 2028.

The Ferndale Public Schools district serves the city of Pleasant Ridge, most of Ferndale, and portions of Oak Park and Royal Oak Township.
