ROCHESTER, Mich. — Illinois State volleyball defeated Marist in three sets on Saturday. The outside hitters for the Redbirds had a day, as Jillian Ferrill and Oliwia Caputa tied for the match lead with 13 kills.
They were both incredibly efficient as well, with Ferrill recording kills at a .500 clip and Caputa at a .417. The team as a whole hit .330 and held Marist to a .194 hitting percentage.
Sammi Bunch led the match with 13 digs and three service aces. Jillian Gregory tacked on 10 more kills on a .450 hitting percentage.
Ruth Ziegler notably did not appear in the sweep.
