Overall, the first period went as expected given the difference in quality between the teams’ lineups tonight. Pohlkamp looked solid on the blue line, while Ethan Cardwell was standing out early as well. Sahlin-Wallenius was making some good defensive plays too. The fourth line was struggling, but that’s to be expected since they’ve been out there against the Ducks’ top line.
