EAST LANSING, Mich. – After a three-hour weather delay Sunday, the Marry Fossum Invitational was shortened to 36 holes, with the Golden Grizzlies finishing tied for 13th at Forest Akers West (par-72, 6,370 yards).

The annual Michigan State-hosted invitational was suspended at 12:10 p.m. (ET), with all teams approximately halfway through the opening round. When play resumed at 3 p.m., tournament officials reduced the event from three rounds to two.

Playing through the rain and difficult course conditions, Oakland posted a two-round team score of 648 (+72). The Golden Grizzlies opened with a 329 (+41) before improving by 10 strokes in the second round, carding a 319 (+31).

Freshman Hunter Edwards led Oakland, tying for 24th with a 156 (+12) alongside golfers from Michigan State, Northern Illinois, and Youngstown State. Edwards ranked among the tournament’s top 10 in par-3 (3.13) and par-4 scoring average (4.20), while recording three birdies. 

Senior Lily Bargamian also made three birdies and finished tied for 52nd with a 160 (+16). Sophomore Logan Bentley placed 73rd with a 166 (+22), while freshman Avery Manning tied for 77th and sophomore Channing Hagen finished 79th.
