The alleged gunman in a fatal Jamul shooting earlier this year was arrested Monday by sheriff’s homicide detectives, officials said.
Larren Daniel, 22, is accused of killing Juliez Mosley, 25, at a home on Loose Creek Road near Ole Burn Way around 12:20 a.m. March 18, sheriff’s homicide Lt. Juan Marquez said.
Deputies arrived but did not find any victims at the scene, Marquez said.
Mosley later arrived wounded at the Alpine Fire Protection District station, located more than 20 miles away. He died before he could be taken to a hospital, investigators said.
Initially, a man in Jamul was detained for questioning by investigators but was later released.
On Monday, sheriff’s investigators, who were working with the San Diego Fugitive Task Force, located and arrested Daniel on suspicion of murder, Marquez said.
Daniel is scheduled to be arraigned in El Cajon Superior Court Thursday.
