Several events are happening across the Bay Area on Tuesday to commemorate Veterans Day.

Gilroy Gardens: “Salute to Heroes”

During Veterans Day Weekend, admission to the park is free for all military members, veterans, police, fire, EMT and ER medical professionals.

Option to purchase tickets for up to 6 additional guests at $15 each.

San Jose: Veterans Day Parade

Address: Begins at Santa Clara Street at the Highway 87 overpass

Time and Date: Starts at noon on Tuesday

Since 1919, the Veterans Day Parade has been running with support from the City of San Jose, Santa Clara County, and more.

Alameda: Veterans Day at the USS Hornet

Time and Date: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday

Active Duty and Veteran Military personnel are allowed on for free all day into the USS Hornet Museum.

Partnering with the Alameda County Veterans Affairs Commission and the California State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution for a commemoration event.
